We always forget an old saying, god is in control, whatever is happening around us is, with the will of god and in direction he wants.
I remember in my childhood, my mother narrated a story about a king who on hunting spree got his thumb chipped off by sharp string of bow to which his aide remarked 'what god does is for good' and for this he was thrown into lock up by king. Years later when one day king got caught in trap of cannibals and was let off just for the reason that his body is not intact and he is no good for sacrifice he realized the remarks of his wise aide.
Years passed with this story luring always in back of my head and was usually quoted to person whom I felt was cornered by dire straits and I affirm would boost his morale, till one day, I came across the concluding paragraph which was punch line of the story and I never knew did existed.
King after realising his aide, asked for forgiveness, accepting that god is in control he at once lobbed the strong punch of question, asking his aide, if good happened with me, my life was saved, then, what good happened with you, since I put you in jail for your remark. His aide laughed and said, dear king, had it been otherwise and you had not put me in lock up, I would have been with you second time again, when you got caught up with cannibals. At that point, they would have definitely spared you for your cut thumb, but think of me, I would have been sacrificed for sure, smiled the aide, I am still alive, see god does good, always.
We do forget, in frustration, we are alone, but truth is, if we are god fearing and trust him, shed all bindings and love him, all good is going to happen, as for it, he is in control, always.
